Setup Guide

You can find your Ramp app credentials in your Ramp Developer Dashboard. You’ll need the following information to set up your Ramp App with Paragon Connect:
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Scopes Requested
This is an API-only integration - workflow actions for this integration are still in development. You can still connect user accounts, build workflows, and access the API for this integration.

Add your Ramp app to Paragon

Under Integrations > Connected Integrations > Ramp > App Configuration > Configure, fill out your credentials from your developer app in their respective sections:
  • Client ID: Found under Client ID in your Ramp Developer API settings.
  • Client Secret: Found under Client Secret in your Ramp Developer API settings.
  • Permissions: Select the scopes you’ve requested for your application. For a list of recommended scopes, please view this integration within your Paragon dashboard. View dashboard.
Leaving the Client ID and Client Secret blank will use Paragon development keys.

Connecting to Ramp

Once your users have connected their Ramp account, you can use the Paragon SDK to access the Ramp API on behalf of connected users. See the Ramp API documentation for their full API reference. Any Ramp API endpoints can be accessed with the Paragon SDK as shown in this example.
// You can find your project ID in the Overview tab of any Integration

// Authenticate the user
paragon.authenticate(<ProjectId>, <UserToken>);

// Get Transactions
await paragon.request("ramp", "v1/transactions", {
  method: "GET"
});

// Get Card Details
await paragon.request("ramp", "v1/cards/{card_id}", {
  method: "GET"
});

// Create a Memo
await paragon.request("ramp", "v1/memos", {
  method: "POST",
  body: {
    "memo": "Business lunch with client",
    "transaction_token": "txn_123"
  }
});

Building Ramp workflows

Once your Ramp account is connected, you use the Ramp Request step to access any of Ramp’s API endpoints without the authentication piece. When creating or updating records in Ramp, you can reference data from previous steps by typing {{ to invoke the variable menu.
